A Powerball ticket sold in Texas won $2 million but just missed the $418 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched five winning numbers and the Power Play but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, March 19, the Texas Lottery said.

An Austin resident is the latest Texas millionaire after winning the lottery earlier this month. According to the Texas Lottery, the lucky winner purchased a $1 million Powerball powerplay ticket at an Exxon on Dry Creek Drive in northwest Austin.

No tickets were sold matching all six numbers in Wednesday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. Two tickets matching five numbers each but not the Powerball were sold in Colorado and Texas and are worth $1 million each.
