NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are set to return to Earth after an extended nine-month stay on the ISS. They were initially expected to stay for only eight days but had to remain due to technical issues.

Sunita Williams, who was supposed to return in a week when she went on Boeing’s first astronaut flight to ISS last year, hit the 9-month mark this month.

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore have spent over nine months on the ISS, with a scheduled return date of March 19 via a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.
