A Midlands man won thousands in the Powerball and used part of his prize to give back to his church. CAMDEN, S.C. — A Midlands man quickly decided to make a very special donation after winning a nice prize playing Powerball, South Carolina lottery officials say.

There were 11 winners of the $50,000 prize, which comes from matching four numbers and the Powerball. Five players hit the same combination but had the 3X Power Play, giving them a cool $150,000 each.

The South Carolina Education Lottery said the winner bought a Powerball ticket earlier this month that won $100,000. The ticket was purchased at the Corner Pantry location on Sumter Highway in Camden.
