Mike Broeker has worked in the Marquette athletic department for over two decades and takes over for the retiring Bill Scholl.

Marquette has promoted Mike Broeker to take over as athletic director from the retiring Bill Scholl.University president Kimo Ah Yun announced the move Tuesday and said Broeker would take over immediately as vice president and athletic director.

Marquette University has named Bill Scholl’s successor as director of athletics. University President Kimo Ah Yun on Tuesday announced the promotion of Mike Broeker to vice president and director of athletics, succeeding Scholl, who is retiring after 10 years at the institution.

Mike Broeker, a 1997 Siena graduate, was promoted Tuesday to athletic director at Marquette University of the Big East Conference. Broeker was in his 18th year as Marquette's deputy athletic director.
