Gaming laptops are as popular as ever, but one thing that's still a bit annoying is that the GPU inside is never quite as good as its desktop equivalent, even if they share the same name. Well, one laptop crowdfunding project has a solution to that problem—stuff a full-size GPU into a backpack-sized laptop.

Several big-time manufacturers have listed their new RTX 50 laptops, including Lenovo, Asus, MSI, Razer and Acer. The Alienware Area-51 laptops should also be arriving in late March or early April. In short, there should be no shortage of powerful gaming notebooks to choose from.

The UHPILCL liquid-cooled gaming laptop touts itself as the "world's first built-in split type water-cooled gaming laptop. " It is functionally an ITX gaming desktop with an attached display and keyboard.

Whether or not this thing ever comes to market remains to be seen, but it's certainly an interesting idea as most gaming laptops strive to be the thinnest.
