Bradley Robert Dawson, 40, of Tennessee, was found guilty in December 2024 of murdering his newlywed wife, Christe Chen, at the Turtle Island resort in Fiji’s Yasawa archipelago. On Wednesday, Justice Riyaz Hamza sentenced Dawson to life in prison. He must serve at least 18 years in a Fijian prison before qualifying for release.

A US man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife during their honeymoon in Fiji nearly three years ago.

Bradley Dawson will have to serve minimum of 18 year sentence before a pardon can be considered. Dawson was convicted of one count of murder in December last year. He murdered his wife Christie Chan just two days after they checked in for their honeymoon.
