A new video game set during the events of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” is set to launch in 2026 from PlaySide Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive. The game, which was announced Friday out of Summer Game Fest Live in Los Angeles,

War for Westeros is a real-time strategy game based on the popular fantasy franchise. Players can control Great Houses or the Night King to conquer the Seven Kingdoms. War for Westeros will feature single-player and free-for-all PvP when it launches for PC in 2026.

While there have been plenty of Game of Thrones video games, including some clever indie spinoffs, War for Westeros seems like a very natural expansion for the franchise. The game is launching at some point in 2026.
