James Lee Williams, a drag performer and winner of the inaugural season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race UK” who was best known by the stage name The Vivienne, died over the weekend. They were 32. Williams’s death was announced in a statement by their manager, Simon Jones, which did not cite a cause.

RuPaul and longtime judge Michelle Visage joined "Drag Race" alums — including The Vivienne's "All Stars 7" sisters Jaida Essence Hall and Raja — in mourning the queen.

RuPaul has said his heart is "broken" after the death of James Lee Williams, better known as drag queen The Vivienne. "I join the entire Drag Race universe in mourning the loss of The Vivienne, an incredibly talented queen and a lovely human being," he wrote on Instagram.
