Amazon will assemble that big constellation over more than 80 launches, the majority of them performed by the Atlas V and its successor, ULA's new Vulcan Centaur. Amazon has also procured launches from Arianespace, Blue Origin and SpaceX.

An Amazon Atlas V rocket is scheduled to launch April 28 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, carrying the first of Project Kuiper's internet satellites. The launch is likely to be visible across a wide swath of the Eastern United States, from Florida to as far north as New York and beyond.
