Australia batter Travis Head emerged as India's tormentor yet again as he smashed his second consecutive century in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy series and third against the country to help the hoists secure a commanding position in the third Test match at the Gabba in Brisbane.

India’s pace attack triggered another top order batting collapse but a second successive century for Travis Head and a long overdue hundred for Steven Smith gave Australia the ascendancy after the second day of the third cricket test.

Twin century-makers Travis Head and Steve Smith put on a fourth-wicket partnership of 241 as Australia reached 405-7 at stumps on the second day of the third test against India on Sunday. Head scored a magnificent 152 and Smith a gritty 101 at the Gabba in Brisbane to put Australia into a strong position to go 2-1 up in the five-test series.

Travis Head runs for three to get his ninth test 100 and his second of the series between Australia and India.
