He made a note of it and then used it for a prank call. The college student later owned up to his mistake and took to social media to apologize.

Shedeur Sanders has received apologies for the prank phone call he received Friday night while he waited to hear his name called during the NFL draft.

Indianapolis Colts selection Tyler Warren and Philadelphia Eagles draft pick Kyle McCord both said they received prank calls during the 2025 NFL draft. ESPN's Stephen Holder reported that there are "believed to be others" who received prank calls during the draft.
