The Palestinian militant group Hamas on Sunday said it is prepared under certain conditions to allow the Red Cross to supply food and medicine to the Israeli hostages it is holding, after a video of an emaciated captive prompted international condemnation.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is calling for the Red Cross to provide aid to the remaining hostages in Gaza. According to Reuters, Hamas has responded to those demands, stating it’s ready to open humanitarian corridors – but only if Israel does the same.

Witkoff and the U.S. ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, visited an aid site in Gaza run by the controversial Israel and U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) on Friday, as the United Nations said that over 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while seeking food since the end of May, including 859 at GHF sites.
