California high school girls basketball season is at the midway point and High School on SI has started its weekly computer rankings for the CIF Southern Section. SBLive's formula was created using its linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method.

Smithtown 24, Harborfields 12: Aidan Jacino bowled a 252 in Game 1 of a 745 series to lead Smithtown (6-1) in Suffolk III. Aidan Feulner bowled a 243 in his third game. Jonathan Miller bowled a high game of 210.

Dervion Jenkins had 16 points, leading Detroit Community to a 53-39 win over Detroit Public Safety Academy in boys basketball action on Wednesday. The win moved Detroit Community to 5-1 overall, 4-0 in the Charter-Silver. Right behind Jenkins, Curtis Thompson posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for Community.
