One of the biggest surprises of The Game Awards is that veteran game director Hideki Kamiya has reunited with Capcom to create an Okami sequel under the umbrella of a new studio named CLOVERS.

Capcom has officially revealed that Okami 2 (which almost certainly won't be its actual name) is in development, and that Hideki Kamiya himself will direct.

Hideki Kamiya has returned to Capcom at the head of a new studio, Clovers. The veteran developer has taken on the role of studio head and chief game designer, and is leading work on the company's debut project: a sequel to 2006 cult hit Okami, for which Kamiya was the game director.
