Police said a couple brought military ordnances from a recently deceased family member's home to the Foothill Police Station in Pacoima.

“Because they were military devices, the LAPD collaborated with the United States Marine Corps’ Camp Pendleton EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) unit to determine whether the items were stable enough to be moved to storage,” police said.

The explosives were placed outside his apartment building’s front door in Sykies, a suburb in the northern city of Thessaloniki, where he lives on the first floor, according to authorities. The blast damaged three apartment buildings, shattering their windows and collapsing a shared wall, according to an Associated Press reporter on site.
