Georgia Power says, between Brunswick and St. Simons Island, more than 10,000 power outages were reported among its customers in Glynn County, alone.

Glynn County residents are not allowed out between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. as Georgia goes under a state of emergency.

In the aftermath of the winter storm that moved through Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, some school districts that had extended closures are beginning to announce when they will reopen.

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A curfew has been issued from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. in Glynn County. According to Glynn County Public Information Officer Lawton Dodd, the curfew is to discourage residents from driving and keep people off the streets.
