Gio Reyna scored for Borussia Dortmund on his first Bundesliga start of the season but it wasn’t enough for a win

Gio Reyna says he is determined to “fight for more opportunities” after making his first Borussia Dortmund start in over a year during Wednesday’s Champions League loss to Barcelona. The 22-year-old’s last Dortmund start came in the DFB-Pokal tie against Hoffenheim on November 1 2023,

"Gio can become important for us if he remains fit," BVB trainer Nuri Sahin remarked at his post-match presser last night, " [Despite more injuries], he's managed to keep at it, train well and present himself positively. I'm glad he scored today. [The recent loan to the EPL] helped him see the importance of getting playing time here at Dortmund."
