Desmond Hart's true identity and origins are explored at the end of Dune: Prophecy episode 5 "In Blood, Truth" which reveals his secret relatives.

Prophecy, Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel) gets bestowed the rank of “Bashar” by Emperor Javicco Corinno. This has sparked intrigue among viewers, who are already curious about the many mysteries presented to them by the series.

Dune: Prophecy Episode 5 reveals the earliest form of the Sardaukar, with Desmond Hart as their first leader, known as a Bashar. Their armor looks a bit different: instead of the grey armor and helmets we see in the Dune films, they wear blue and black suits with face masks (they look a bit like Mortal Kombat fighters).

The penultimate episode of Dune: Prophecy answers two big questions about the central mystery of Desmond Hart while leaving another question to linger. By the end of “In Blood, Truth,” we know that Desmond is the son of Tula Harkonnen and Orry Atreides and that he is burning his enemies with a variation of the Omnius plague.
