It really depends on the direction of the wind and how the sea is rolling. An offshore wind is best because of the swell. You can get that in February.
Can you paddle out to peanut island from here? How long would it take?

Wasn't able to kayak at all due to wind - sorry, don't know if you can get to peanut island. You could try emailing or call the visitor center at Park.
